2021 Year in Review

Here’s a look back at the biggest achievements and events of 2021 at LodgeLink.

As we end another successful year at LodgeLink and head into the holiday season, we look back at some of our key updates, milestones, and achievements in 2021.

At the outset, we would like to thank our customers, suppliers and partners for their business, support, and trust in LodgeLink and our team. This year alone, we moved thousands of crew members across North America and saved customers considerable time and money, all while rapidly expanding our hotel coverage to offer access in remote areas and providing 24/7 customer support.

155% Increase in Suppliers Joining the LodgeLink Platform

Our added hotel coverage gives increased access to cost effective accommodation with more properties in remote areas and amenities to meet crew needs. We accomplished so much despite regional, provincial, or country lockdowns due to Covid restrictions.

Duty of Care

This year we also launched Duty of Care as a new service. Now we can help our customers locate, track, and communicate with travellers during a travel change, potential safety risk, or in the event of an emergency. Learn more about why this service is quickly becoming essential and how your organization can be better prepared to respond to any emergency.

24/7 Booking Support


In addition to our 24/7 customer care hours, we’ve now introduced chat support on our platform and a state-of-the-art telephone platform service to help every step of the way, at any time of the day. This has helped reduce response times and provide immediate support with shorter wait times.

Team Growth

Our LodgeLink team has grown bigger over the last year, and we’re thrilled to add over 20+ employees to our team. This is a 46% growth from last year and as we expand further, we’re looking forward to welcoming more people to LodgeLink in 2022.

Product Updates

Onboarding Functionality
This year we introduced new functionality to give customers more flexibility and control over the administration of their company’s account. Organization administrators receive better visibility and information on the status of new members and are now able to review and approve requests to join your organization.

Preferred Properties
We understand that some organizations have preferred properties that they would like their employees to stay at. Therefore, to make it convenient for organizational booking administrators and employees booking their stays, we developed a new feature that enables organizations to set ‘Preferred Properties’ so that anyone searching for hotels or lodges within that region will see these properties show up first.

Reporting and Spend Visibility
Since launching reporting two years ago we continue to make improvements to provide customers with increased visibility to track crew accommodation spend, save time and simplify manual processes. We have added additional reporting statuses and information so that you can see invoice numbers and accrue your charges for any stays going forward. We also understand the importance of being able to accrue your accommodation spend. The platform also includes taxes and fees to provide more accuracy.

Digital Adoption Platform (DAP)
​​​​​​​We’ve added a powerful communication software to our platform to provide contextual help and information to our users. It also provides customer insights to help us improve customer experience. Currently this software displays on specific  pages where customers might need additional guidance. However, we’re on track to expand it across our platform to provide better customer support.
